Monitoring/Watching Articles
Because caedm wiki pages can be edited so easily, some pages may change frequently. For those users who wish to be informed each time a page is modified, the CAEDM Wiki allows an article to be 'monitored' or 'watched'. Each time a change is made to the article, an email will be sent to all of the users who have selected this article for monitoring.
All notifications will be sent to the user's CAEDM email address. If the user wishes to receive this email at a different address, email forwarding may be set up in the CAEDM Account Manager at: http://ssl.et.byu.edu/cms/
Enabling Page Monitoring
If a user wishes to monitor a page, he/she may enable this service by doing the following:
- Sign in to the CAEDM Wiki.
- Load the desired article.
- Click the [watch this page] link in the title bar in the top right of the screen.
- A page will load showing all of the current monitored articles.
The user is now monitoring the page. Any time a change is made to the page, this user will receive an email notification.
Disabling Page Monitoring
If a user wishes to no longer monitor a page, he/she may disable this service by doing the following:
- Sign in to the CAEDM Wiki.
- Click 'View Monitored Pages' at the top of the Navigation pane.
- A page will load showing all of the current monitored articles.
- Click the 'Remove' button next to the article you wish to remove.
